________________________________
Happy New Year!

It’s a total thrilled to be here ringing out 2009 with all of you. Big thanks to Emily for having me here today!

I can’t think of a better way to start 2010 than with a stack of awesome books. I’ll admit, I’ve been a slacker in the reading department lately – between a book deadline, the holidays and the release of STOLEN SEDUCTION, book three in my Stolen Trilogy, I’ve been too busy to read. But now I’m not. Now I’m rewarding myself for all of my hard work with…what else? A trip to the bookstore.

What’s on my to-buy list? I’m a sucker for romantic suspense, so I can’t wait to get my hands on Stephanie Tyler’s Hard To Hold. Larissa Ione has a new release in the end of January that I’m salivating over – Ecstasy Unveiled. There were a BUNCH of Dec. 29th releases (along with my book) that I’m adding to my list: Susan Elizabeth Phillip’s paperback release of What I Did For Love, Cynthia Eden’s, Eternal Hunter, Helen Scott Taylor’s The Phoenix Charm and (Jan 1) Carry Lofty’s Scoundrel’s Kiss. And, of course, I still have my copy of A Christmas Ball I can’t wait to read. Even though Christmas is over, this one will be up first.

How about you? What’s on your to-read list to start off 2010? I’ve got a copy of STOLEN FURY, book one in my Stolen Trilogy, to giveaway to one lucky commenter.

Emily hopping in here: Did you see that? Leave a comment for a chance to win STOLEN FURY! It's a great read.

And in case you’re interested in my new release, here’s a little bit about STOLEN SEDUCTION:

The individual who collects all six statues and deciphers the code locked within will be awarded controlling interest in Roarke Resorts.

YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS ENDEAVOR IS A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH.

Hailey Roarke was never interested in her family’s fortune. That’s why she became a cop. But with her father and now her cousin dead, she’s suddenly on the wrong side of a police interrogation. The only way to clear her name is to solve the riddle before the real killer. Without getting killed herself.

Detective Shane Maxwell can’t deny the spark of lust he feels every time Hailey is near. But the woman is clearly hiding something. Trusting his gut—and the heat in her eyes—he joins her on an elaborate global treasure hunt staged by her late father. Caught between a sizzling seduction and a maniacal murderer, for Hailey and Shane the biggest reward of all will be making it out alive.

AND…before I forget…I’m hosting a BIG contest on my website through January 15th. Click the widget below to enter for a chance to win $100 Amazon Gift Card!

Ooh -- statues and secret codes. Cool! Do I have to read books 1 and 2 to enjoy 3? Because I'm raring to go get book 3 right now.

I'm already headed to the bookstore this morning for Helen Scott-Taylor's The Phoenix Charm.
This is the sequel to The Magic Knot, and I've been waiting for it for ages.

As for what else I'll be reading? Well, I just popped Elizabeth Hoyt's To Desire a Devil into my bag this morning. What with other commitments, I've been waiting a good while to dig into this one.

Also, there's a book called Soulless by Gail Carringer. I've heard a lot of raves about this book. It's around the house someplace - others have been reading it - but I'll get my claws into it soon.

Hi Barbara. :)

No, you can read the books out of order. They're connected by characters, not plot. :)

I hope you enjoy the Stolen Books!!

Along with Elisabeth's newest, I'm looking forward to reading Karen Hawkins's SLEEPLESS IN SCOTLAND, In March Colleen Thompson's TOUCH OF EVIL, in April Barbara Monajem's debut SUNRISE IN A GARDEN OF LOVE AND EVIL, and Gerri Russell's SEDUCING THE KNIGHT. And in May, Connie Mason, a grand dame of historical romance, has a brand new title after a two year hiatus, LORD OF DEVIL ISLE!

And of course in JUne, my own contribution to the romantic heavens STROKE OF GENIUS!

I always go to Leah Hultenschmidt's Romantic Reads and see what's coming down the pike. I was just there and saw that YOU have another title in May called MARKED! Be sure to join us again for that!

Elizabeth,
Sounds like a good suspense, and I love those. I look forward to reading the trilogy.
My TBR pile is huge, but I'm working on it.
I just finished A CHRISTMAS BALL. You will enjoy it.
Emily, I got the distinct feel of Mozart and the Marriage Of Figaro in yours. (Could it be your opera background?) Our book club is reading it and I'm curious to hear their comments when we meet on the 12th.
I have Joy Nash's Silver Silence waiting to complete that series. I have all three of Deanna Raybourn's books waiting for me. Spy Candy by Gina Robinson is on the shelf next to Gerri Russell's Warrior Bride and Emily's Pleasuring the Pirate. I just finished Safe Harbor by Christine Feehan and have Fablehaven (a middle school book) in my car CD player. Lori Brighton's Wild Heart is near the top along with Anna Stefano's Dark Legacy. And one more Christmas book, A Highlander Christmas by Janet Chapman. There is so much good out there, It is hard to choose where to start. I'm looking forward to when Stroke Of Genius comes out (I like the cover, but the working picture you had of Crispin was moving.)

Hope you both have a Wonderful 2010!

Yes, Pat, I confess my music background creeps into my stories. There's a good bit of misdirection and mistaken identity in Marriage of Figaro (I've sung both Susannah and Cherubino in that opera!) and as you know, the theme of misdirection continues in my novella in A CHRISTMAS BALL. Gilbert and Sullivan and the work of Oscar Wilde also inspires and influences me.

Janet--Our oldest daughter's name is Elisabeth too--spelled with an "s" instead of a "z." It's the Scandinavian version.

I've got some other authors lined up for January too--Jade Lee, Helen Scott Taylor and Angie Fox to name a few! So be sure to pop back by!

i have too many books in my to-be-read pile i want to get through so probably no re-reading for now unfortunately but i'll probably "re-visit" my favorites between readings like nora roberts' birthright, mary jo putney's silk & secrets, etc.

i'm so want to read your stolen books elisabeth, unfortunately i promised myself not to buy books until march as i had a really big book buying binge during the holidays. lol so i've been going around trying to win them instead--a way around that promise ;)
