I'm back in the midwest for the next week. My family is having a reunion, the first since we lost my Grandmother a few years ago. I'll also be celebrating my Dad's birthday. I hope to be able to pop in but my internet access is likely to be spotty. If my posts are sparse that's why.
Hope you're enjoying your summer. Is anyone else doing some traveling? Seeing some family?

We aren't going anywhere, but my MIL is coming from TX to visit us here in Iowa. She still has 3 brothers and a sister near the Newton area, so there will be some get-togethers, I'm sure.
My 10-year-old daughter said to us the other day, "I would like to go on a real family vacation before I graduate from high school." LOL. We've only gone to TX or to see my BIL in Denver.

Gillian--Whew! When you get away from real humidity, you tend to forget how oppressive it is. I won't complain about Boston being the least sticky again.
Deb--Visiting family is a vacation! We make it a point to meet for our reunions in fun places.
But I understand what your daughter is saying. Sometimes, it's nice to get just your family away for an adventure together.
Saranna--We're at the Lake of the Ozarks and it's gorgeous--hot and humid--but gorgeous!

Glad to hear your having a great time! I travel so much with my husband, for his work. When we get down time we just want to go HOME! LOL! have a great week!!
Jane--I'm really enjoying the time with our oldest daughter and my parents. They all live in the same town, so it works out well. I've been in my folk's pool every day, trying not to get burned!
In case you're wondering, I'm still writing. I got a little a head on the WIP, but I'm still adding some pages each day to keep the story moving forward.
Already did some traveling. Went to Florida the first two weeks of June. May be going to Nashville. Had reservations for RWA before it was changed and I can't cancel them. We may make a few short trips (I'm going to VA to visit my sister this week), but nothing major.

Pat I'm sorry the RWA got changed. I too was headed to Nashville, but I canceled my plans when it changed. I was going to be at the Opry Land Hotel which is a wreck right now.
I'm really sorry I won't be able to meet you there.
